Leaving Brisbane! - 11th Jan

So on the 11th of Jaan I hopped on a jet plane at Brisbane airport! I had many of my closest family friends there to say goodbye - which was great! It was rather difficult saying good by to so many of my loved ones in the 48 hours before I left but I do appreciate everyone taking time out to pop over and say good bye! 

Anyways, so I got on my 12 hour flight to LAX snd considering it is a massive airport we (me and my travelling buddy, Bec) were able to clear immigration and customs rather quickly! Unfortunately getting stuck at baggage claim as our luggage took ages to get off the plane. So unfortunately due to the delay I was not able to get to my plane in time - as I only had 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to the next plane. So then the troubles began - I had to wait in line for about an hour to try and fix my flight. Unfortunately the next direct flight from LAX to Orlando was at 10pm which didn't interest me much. But she ended up putting me on 'standby' for two flights from LAX to Dallas, Texas! And then from Dallas to Orlando. However I didn't know if I would get on the flight until the flight finished boarding. So it was rather nerve racking to think that I could be stuck in Dallas! But I took the risk anyway, and fortunately it paid off as I was able to fit - JUST - on both planes. Like both times I was the last person to get on the plane! 

So it is safe to say that by the time I got on my flight to Orlando - I was exhausted!! However just as we were about to land here in the world of magic, a few of the passengers noticed that we could see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and we could see Cinderella's Castle - which was a great magical reminder of why I was there and it gave me a 2nd wind of energy to keep going! 

Basically, due to Travel Agent mishaps, I had issues with my transfer which took time and was quite annoying! So it wasn't until about 10.30pm until I left Orlando airport which then took about an hour to get to my hotel! So by the time I got there - it was a 30 hour journey from Brisbane Airport. But I was so happy when I finally got into my room and had a shower!

It was a massive and exhausting day but I got there safely which is what counts. But I just went straight for a shower and went to bed! And unfortunately I don't have any photos from my travels to Orlando!
