Epcot before Work - 21st Feb

Today, one of my friends from work and I went to Epcot before we started work at 4pm. It was a great day as Epcot has the greatest foods so every time we go I try something new! Hannah my roommate is a Character Attendant at Epcot so we went and met the characters she was with today - and it was Chip and Dale! They were so much fun! Hannah told them that I was her roommate and so they danced with us and we mucked around with them for a while! It was great fun and we got some really cool photos!

And of course a stop to Character spot to meet the Boss and his lovely Lady!

We had lunch in France and unfortunately I don't have a photo because it looked too good so I ate it straight away! Haha. WE then got Whethers Caramel Popcorn from Germany for a snack on our way back to work. It was a great little adventure before work!

Magic Kingdom at Midnight - 18th Feb

So I had my first day of full classes today - so every Wednesday I have class from 11am - 5:30pm. It's actually not that bad really - my first class is a lecture series on Guest Services and how Disney does it differently/better! And then my second class is one where I have graded homework and it's on Marketing myself for tmy dream career/job. It's quite interesting really and it is a very well set up course! 

But after 6.5 hours of class work I am definitely ready to get outta there! 

And when I got home I discovered that we had been Inspected and we got a White Glove award which means we didn't just pass we passed with flying colours! So that was good news! (However I won't tell you that my roommates were home and they heard other apartments being inspected so they quickly cleaned everything before they got our apartment! haha) 

My roommates had gone to Magic for the night so I caught the bus there and met up with them around 7pm. I told them that I would stay until wishes at 10 and then go home as I was tired. 

We did a few rides and then we watched wishes:

It was the first time that I had watched Wishes from the ground in front of the castle. And of course I watch the fireworks every night but it's definitely not the same as watching Wishes with the music and being able to see the castle. 

After that we went to see the line for Space Mountain and it was super short so we jumped into the line and then we wondered around did a few other rides. And at about 12am we went and checked the wait time for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which is usually can be like 120minutes or longer was only half an hour. So we ended up waiting for that as we hadn't done that yet either. And then when we got out it was almost 1am so we then decided to leave as it was cold and we were tired. However, we walked past Fairytale Princess Hall which only had a 5 minute waiting time. So we met Elsa, Anna, Rapunzel and my favourite Cinderella! We had a lot of fun.

Side Note: We talked to Rapunzel for about 10minutes about Blue Tongue lizards. Because she asked where we were from so we told her Australia. And then all of a sudden she started talking about Blue Tongue lizards. We went along with it but it was so random!! We walked out and I was like "where did that even come from". And then funny enough the next day on the bus I was talking to a friend who is from Brisbane also and I was telling her about Rapunzel and the Blue Tongue Lizards that she kept asking about and she started laughing! And I couldn't understand why! And then she told me that she had met Rapunzel the night before and they were telling her about the lizards and then so she just continued the conversation with us the next day! It was quite hilarious!

But anyways, after that we were exhausted so we went home! But what a day! Unfortunately I don't have photos of us and the Princess yet but when I do I shall update the post!

Grocery Bingo - 17th Feb

Disney housing for College Program participants do all sorts of activities and events! Today Shelley (my flatmate) and I went to Mardi Gras themed Grocery Bingo! 

It was a lot of fun however not only did we NOT win any groceries but we were so close multiple times that it just become frustrating! Haha. We are living the CP life - anything free is like wining the lottery for us! 

Despite not wining we did have a really good time!

I just needed one more for this game as it was just to get the letter T! So close yet still so far!

We then came home and Rayzhaan had finished work so we all headed to Port Orleans - French Quarter (which is where Ray works) and we had dinner and looked around her restaurant and resort. WE then ended up on a boat to Downtown Disney. 

It was pouring rain and quite cold so did a little bit of exploring Downtown and then we jumped on the bus and came home! It was a great however slightly random day! 

Magic and then Work - 13th Feb

Today Laura, Rayzhaan and I went to Magic Kingdom before I had work at 5.30pm! It was a great spontaneous trip! Unfortunately it was freezing so we tried to stay inside and warm most of the day. 

As per our usual tradition pretty much as soon as you get to the parks and smell all the delicious smells from the restaurants and eateries we had to have lunch. 

We decided on Tony's Italian Restaurant on the Main Street. For my Disney impaired people this is the restuarant that Lady and the Tramp and dinner at in the movie.  

It was beautiful! We had Spaghetti and Meatballs - just like the movie! How cute right?! 

We then shared a beautiful strawberry cheesecake - that had the outline of Lady and the Tramp on the plate. It was a great lunch!

We watched the morning parade around Main Street and then watched 'Dreaming with Mickey' which is a stage show that all the characters and main princesses are in! It was really great - I love the traditional magical characters!

Then we wondered around the different worlds! We waited for the Haunted Mansion ride which was pretty cool.

And then to finish off our day we got Mickey Ice-cream and ate it on Main Street looking right at the Castle. It was a great day!

And then I jumped on the monorail and went to work!

Hockey, Ice Hockey - 12th Feb

So today started of rather unusually! I hadn't set my alarm as today was my 2nd day off, but I woke up rather abruptly to my phone going crazy. It was on silent so the vibrations woke me up and there was able 40 messages sitting there from one of my best friends, Alexa! She was asking me to Skype her - so I did! To which I asked her: are you dying?! Is this why that the important thing that you have woken me up to tell me?! 

She then proceeded to inform me that she will be visiting me for my birthday in about 44 days!! I had absolutely no idea that she was going to tell me that! I was so surprise and I am now so excited to see her and spend my birthday with my family over here in the most Magical place!

Which speaking off today I had tickets booked for Ice Hockey which was in Tampa around an hour and half west of Orlando - so I actually got out of my little Disney bubble for a little while and got to travel to Tampa! It was great experience!

Very very American! We had a buffet of hot dogs, hamburgers, devilled eggs, chips and cookies! 

We were up really high (nose bleed section) but it was really cool to be able to experience the atmosphere even all the way up the top.

I didn't occur to me until I other that I had no Ice Hockey knowledge whatsoever as it is completely different to the hockey I used to play at home. However, with my existing knowledge of air hockey and well basic sense i was able to follow along. I went with a group of Aussies, Kiwi' and a few Americans so it was a good experience!

(Even if we were freezing the whole night - haha!)

Classes & Epcot - Wednesday 11th Feb

So after working 7 days straight I finally had a day off today and unfortunately I got sick! :( Just a cold though so I'm hoping it will be going away soon!

But anyways today was my first day for one of the classes that I am taking while here at Disney! It won't be a hard class but i think it will be time consuming. Excluding today I will have classes from 11am - 5:30pm but today I was only there from 1:30-5:30pm.

It was just a lot of introductory things - it wasn't overly interesting so when I got home Shelley was here just hanging so we decided to go into Epcot and meet Hannah after she finished work.

Then we wondered around the pavilions for a while and I bought the greatest cookie to ever be created. It was from Germany as they have a caramel bakery and everything is made with Whethers Caramel. It's safe to say it was delicious!

We then watched illuminations! And because Magic Kingdom fireworks were also at 9pm we were able to see Wishes aswell - it was beautiful! 

I really enjoy illuminations! And thus concludes a great night!

Adventures Before Work - 8th Feb

So the joys of always starting work in the afternoon is that I can go out and do things during the day. Today, was Sunday and we decided that we would go to Animal Kingdom for breakfast! So Hannah, Laura Rayzhaan and I were at the parrk for park opening! 

We had 9.15am reservations at an 'All you can enjoy' character breakfast at Tusker House! 

It was so nice - plus the food was great! And we got to meet Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey all dressed up in safari gear! 


We had a great time! And we all but rolled out of there we were so full! 

It was perfect timing to because the next show time of Festival of the Lion King was just about to start - so we snuck in a got good seats and we loved it! 

We then went on Everest (my favourite ride at AK) 

But after that Rayzhaan and I had to come home as we both had work that night. It was still great though to do stuff with the roommates before work!
